A little depiction overall first, very shallow, since it's anyway on developing stage, and it's a particular perspective of the issue.
First project of Faërlond's map. Made by Ravengrim, as the whole concept of the story.
Into another, far away universe, across the tides of time and space, there's a land on which magic, plus powerful angels and demons had shaped the development of complex, old and some hidden, kingdoms. A land on which a feudal - like state predominates a big part of the world, named Faerlond. With technologies resembling early dark ages, their inhabitants strife for carrying their lives surrounded kings, Holy orders, Unholy ones, and many mystical creatures that, ins many ways, had shaped their history, despite a lot of the story has been forgotten.
On the particular moment of the tale, the main dominant kingdom is ruled by the successor of the Ravengrim's dinasty, King Aedan, who rules with more or less stability, facing properly every threat to the peace and security. Also, there are many feudal lords that rule n less degree, and deal locally with bandits, evil creatures and, overall, keep the land producing food and wealth, thanks to the "commoners" and servants.
Also, there are many risks coming from the frontiers: Sea raiders from the frozen waters of the north, Werebeast-like creatures rampaging the west, and many weaker kingdoms at the south, plus a wide, unknown and still unexplored world at the east. Apart of that, everyone keeps working, living and dieing with a relative degree of stability, for king, lords and land, under the protection of the Holy Order, a parallel supreme power, who faces those challenges which involve dark arts and evil monstrosities, officially subordinated to the king.
At least, until a set of events unleash a potential crisis, that could end everything, and everyone, on the worst way. And many lords, authorities and powers shows their true intentions for the kingdom's future...
Now, far away from such scenario, many universes away, into a way more modern, and in SOME aspects, "advanced" society, there's a little baby brother crying because has lost his dear and beloved, cuddly Dino-toy. Of course, there's a concerned family behind searching for it frantically, hoping that the little baby brother shuts his mouth for once, clueless about what had happened to it. A complete mystery, until a kind and particularly smart kid approaches, and offers a helping hand.
What's coming next? How those two stories could relate with each other? That's the point of the tale
All the credits for concept, and hopefully, some illustrations on the future, are from Ravengrim. The story is complete (and long, so take it easy ) Any comment is absolutely welcome... don't be shy
Some images made by Ravengrim about it.
Inquisitor Arden Coldwell and Lorin, his assistant.
Jan Novak and Lucien Ravengrim
Chapter 1 : Misha cries bitterly, as Pyotr has disappeared mysteriously. Making quite the fuzz, and before that Slava lost his patience and spank him, Jan offers his tracking skills to find it, while the Cherkovs go to the park to calm the little brother. Soon clues are found, but Jan's recklessness put him into a tight spot... with completely strange results, even for his own level of experiences!!!
Chapter 2 : Confused, a little hurt, and completely lost, Jan starts to make his way home, before mom finds out he has gone far away, without any kind of explanation, not even for himself. On the road he finds two young, kind, but quite quarrelsome in between, troubadours, who offers help for getting him into the nearby "city".
Chapter 3 : The little hunter realizes that, definitively, this place is not home, or maybe planet Earth no more, and reacts in consequence. Though, it looks like he is not the only one aware of his "irregular" presence on the place, and strange events starts to unfold, specially concerning Misha's dino-toy, Pyotr.
